Le futur simple
La conjugaison du jour est le futur “simple” ( mais c’est vrai que ce n’est pas si simple). Pour le construire, il suffit d’ajouter –ai, –as, –a, –ons, –ez ou –ont à l’infinitif.
- manger – je mangerai
- regarder – tu regarderas
- sortir – il sortira
- finir – elle finira
- dormir – on dormira
- passer – nous passerons
- aider – vous aiderez
- comprendre – ils comprendront
- travailler – elles travailleront
Pour les verbes en re à l’infinitif, il faut supprimer le “e” final avant d’ajouter –ai, –as, –a, –ons, –ez et –ont.
- boire : je boirai
- rendre : tu rendras
- dire : il dira
- écrire : elle écrira
- lire : on lira
- mettre : nous mettrons
- prendre : vous prendrez
- suivre : ils suivront
- vivre : elles vivront
Il y a plusieurs exceptions (mais ce sont les mêmes qu’au conditionnel, donc c’est cool parce qu’on les apprend une fois pour deux conjugaisons) :

Le futur proche et le futur simple sont très souvent interchangeables, à l’écrit on préfère en général le futur simple et à l’oral le futur proche. Mais il y a certains cas où on va préférer le futur proche, par exemple quand l’action est imminente. Si vous êtes déjà allé en France, vous avez certainement entendu dans les gares: “Attention à tous les voyageurs, le train va partir, veuillez vous éloigner de la bordure du quai s’il vous plait”.

The futur proche and the futur simple are very often interchangeable, in writing we generally prefer the futur simple and in speaking the futur proche. But there are some cases where we will prefer the futur proche, for example when the action is imminent, if you have been to France, you have certainly heard in the stations: “Attention à tous les voyageurs, le train va partir, veuillez vous éloigner de la bordure du quai s’il vous plait.” (Attention all passengers, the train is about to depart, please move away from the edge of the platform).
