Alors n’oubliez pas, en français la semaine commence le lundi, pas le dimanche qui est considéré le dernier jour de la semaine. Les jours de la semaine sont donc lundi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi et dimanche. Pour dire une date en français commence par le jour de la semaine, le jour, le mois et on finit par l’année. Exemple “Votre rendez-vous est le lundi 13 février 2023” ou encore “Ce yaourt est bon jusqu’au 12 août 2022“.
So remember, in French the week starts on Monday, not Sunday which is considered the last day of the week. The days of the week are therefore lundi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi et dimanche (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). To say a date in French starts with the day of the week, the day, the month and ends with the year. For example “Votre rendez-vous est le lundi 13 février 2023” (Your appointment is on Monday 13 February 2023) or “Ce yaourt est bon jusqu’au 12 août 2022” (This yoghurt is good until 12 August 2022).

- Jusqu’à s’utilise avec le jour de la semaine : j’ai jusqu’à lundi pour rendre mon devoir.
- Jusqu’au avec le jour dans le mois : on a jusqu’au 16 (juin) pour prendre notre décision.
- Jusqu’en s’utilise avec le mois et l’année : C’est bon jusqu’en septembre ou c’est bon jusqu’en 2024.
- Jusqu’à is used with the day of the week: j’ai jusqu’à lundi pour rendre mon devoir. (I have until Monday to hand in my homework).
- Jusqu’au with the day in the month: on a jusqu’au 16 (juin) pour prendre notre décision. (We have until the 16th (June) to make our decision).
- Jusqu’en is used with the month and the year: C’est bon jusqu’en septembre ou c’est bon jusqu’en 2024. (It’s OK until September or it’s OK until 2024).
